Architectural Drafting and Space Planning

with Architect, Jairo Leon

The new building design for the Brown-Rodgers Physical Therapy Clinic was a collaborative project. I worked with a team of architects and a designer to develop the complete project plans.

Like most of the projects that our office designed, all cabinets were custom made for our client.  I personally delivered the fixture designs to the client during the initial design phase as we perfected the office design.

As part of the final stages of the design I met with our lighting vendor. We discussed lighting fixture selections and layout. Based on client and vendor input, I created a Reflected Ceiling Plan, and communicated the final product specifications to our lighting vendor.

A local interior designer handled material selection.  She and I discussed the selections, and I developed a material specifications sheet for the final construction documents.

FLOOR PLAN

Built-in furnishings are shaded on the plan.  All cabinetry and built-ins were custom designed by myself and Jairo per the client's needs.

The new facility has a large exercise and workout space along with private therapy rooms.  A pool was incorporated in the new design for Aquatic Therapy. This is a new service being offered and one of the main reasons for their relocation.

Objective

The center was in need of a larger facility for their growing client base, and wanted to expand services to include Aquatic Therapy. I worked with Jairo to design a space that accommodated the needs of our client. The new building gave Brown and Rodgers a new identity.

The solution that we delivered gave the company an iconic presence in their new area.  The building demands your attention, therefore attracting new members through visual appeal.

The new facility has a large exercise and workout space along with private therapy rooms.  As seen in the floor plan above, a pool was incorporated in the new design for aquatic therapy.
