Architectural Drafting and Space Planning
with Architect, Jairo Leon

For the Wilde Residence, Jairo and I decided to provide the family with visual aids to help illustrate our design ideas. I drew a preliminary perspective of the Master bath design and a rendered perspective of the outdoor kitchen (shown below).
After meeting with the Wilde family, revisions were made to the layout of the Master Bathroom. His and her walk-in closets were added and a walk in shower was incorporated in the new design.

Providing perspective images helped the client to better understand the designs we presented to them. This is one of the many tools I use to communicate designs to better serve my clients.
BATHROOM ADDITION PRELIMINARY DESIGN

I worked with an interior decorator on material selection and finish schedules. In order to help the client to understand the design, I developed this preliminary sketch.

At the client meeting we discussed changes to the design. A walk-in shower, his and her toilet closets, and a coffee bar would be incorporated in the new design. These changes can be viewed in the floor plan below.
The final changes made to the bathroom design can be seen in the image to the right. A walk-in shower is behind a large soaker tub with four columns defining the area.
The floor plan below illustrates the bathroom layout in detail. The
perspective drawing I provided helped us to better define and address our client's needs .

OUTDOOR KITCHEN ADDITION
STRUCTURAL DETAILS

Outdoor kitchen addition (above)
Office balcony addition (right)

I developed a computer model and provided renderings of the space (shown top left). The Wilde family was having second thoughts about the outdoor kitchen addition, but found their inspiration again with the help of a visual aids.

No changes were made to the kitchen design, but a discussion of material selection began at our meeting.
